I have heard of them. They are OK. I beleive they are along the same lines as Ruff Racing, and HP... They are def. no comparisson to Volks, RH's or Maya's

i have the OEM 19's now...(rays / volks) and i know the quality of them... i'm thinking of replacing them just to have a wider wheel...and the stern's look very similar to the PIAA Rozzas... i just want a wheel that's true and will not bend easily or have a finish that is easily marred... what have you heard about Stern along those lines?

I have the stern Beast face III, they are def heavier than the volks, but probably the same weight as the OEM. I dont race my car to weight isnt a big concern for me. The are tough and will not ben easily, plus you cant beat the price. I get alot of compliments on how they look.

awesome! that's exactly the ones i wanted... the ST-1 Face III Beast... did you get the staggered setup? (8.5 front / 9.5 rear) i have a set of Toyo T1Rs that are 245/35 r19 for front and 275/35 r19 for the rear... is this your setup? do the tires fit the wheels well? (no ballooning...not too narrow) what offset did you get? any clearance problems? i have a brilliant silver 05 6MT...and i want the hyperblack... what do you think of this colour combo?

thanks!

I have the staggered setup 8.5/9.5. The tires do fit well. I have absolutely no issues with rubbing. I got the look that I was going for. My offsets are 32 front and 35 rear. You could go a bit more agressive in the rear but I dont know if it would rub. THe Hyper black would pobably look amazing on the brillaint silver, if that is the look you are going for. I have a DG so i choose the Hyper silver.

Here is mine on Stern St-2 20s

I am very glad i went with 20s, 19s just wouldnt fill in as much gap. Plus tires are cheaper.

that looks sick, doc... what size tires did you go with on the 20s? what was the offset of your stern's?

I got Falken GRB 451 tires
255/35/20 front
285/30/20 back

Offsets:
20mm front, 2" lip
25mm back, 3" lip

No rubbing at all, but my car is not lowered. Tires are pretty quiet and grip really well. Here are couple more pics.

i plan on leaving mine factory height, as well... i don't see the need in lowering if you can use wheel to fill the fender-well gap... the offset you have is the one i was going to go with... there is one that is closer to our stock setup (+35 and +38, i think) from stern...but, i like the more aggressive look...

i, too, was thinking of going with the 285/30...since the 275/30 is not enough of a sidewall to protect the wheel... are you afraid of bending the rim with 30 series tires? some of the roads here in ATL are not the kindest on wheels... maybe i would be better off with a 19" wheel and 275/35s?

also, did you notice any performance loss with the 20's?

again, thank you for your input and time...

^ I added 2 more pics.

According to a tire calculator, the difference between 285/30 & 275/35 is only about .42 which is probably not enough to save the rim anyway, but one of the reasons i went with 285 is because the tire is not as stretched and the "rim protector" is actually further out, so it protects the rims a bit better. Plus 255/35 & 285/30 keep the ratios close. If you go 245/35 & 275/35 it will throw off the ratios, but most members here havent had a problem with it yet.

I havent had a problem with bending the rims, there seems to be enough sidewall height to cushion most bumps and dips. The ride seems same as stock.

The wheels do feel heavier, if you are worried about performance loss then these wheels are not for you. The rims weight 28 lb each + tires.

ive got black beast face III's in 8.5/9.5. they're wrapped in toyo t1-r's 245/35/19 and 275/35/19. they're the look i wanted althought they are probably a bit heavier. right now im not into pure performance so i can always upgrade later on.
