Hope you don't deal with hot temperatures where you're at...you can expect that stuff to peel over time. Clean job though.

Is this for quite down the road noise or sound system purpose?

Both. For reducing road noise there are additional products you can use to further reduce road noise.

I've bought a 50' Fatmat 2 years ago and plan to do only the door area to reduce the road noise on my G coupe. The reason I didn't install it yet because I didn't want to strip out the interior part...it's a PITA job.
Do you think it would help if I cover only 2 front doors?

It will help, but of course, the more you do the better it is.

How much did it cut down on road noise (by doing the doors)?

Im still working on it, so i havent taken it on a testdrive. Since work and school occupy the majority of my time, i try to work on it as much as possible on the weekends..Im gunna try and install my audio components and DD HU this weekend. However i notice a huge difference just by knocking on the trunk lid and doors befor and after the install, the noise will dampen more when everythings back on as well..anyway ill post more pics as my install continues, thanks for the complements.

Well it was a year ago today that i began the tear down and install of FatMat into my G coupe to acompany my audio equip...Alot of bloody knuckles and sweat have gone into this trunk...Literally..I have installed a Kenwood DNX9140 HU, MB quarts 6.5s in the front and in the rear and two 12'' solos in the trunk that i got from my neighbor probably 10 years ago, still kicking... After procrastinating for so long, every piece of the rear interior is back in the car as well as the back seats that weigh a ton! The FatMat truly does its job well...I have absoultly no vibrations anywhere...The Bose system that came with the car simply can not compare to the quality of sound i have now...

The FatMat is good for reducing vibration, but you're usually good with about 25% coverage per panel, after that you're better off getting vinyl/foam barrier combination to keep sound out, stuff like this:

Throwing 100% coverage on the parts that actually move - doors and trunk lid - is overkill, but mildly justified, however, floors, trunk, fenders and such, I'd go with other sound barriers.
