Stillen, if you're looking for "performance" and insist on an aftermarket intake. The JWT intake has an inferior heat shield. That heat soak.

JWT, if you're just looking for sound. It definitely roars!

hmm, if you put on a stillen + Z tube. will the sound be affected? Like, will it give a deeper sound than stock? I have heard many say the jwt pop charger lacks quality but people purchase it for the sound. Can you hear a difference when you add the stillen + Z tube over stock? Hoping for it to give a "deeper" sound

sound or performace?

sound - pop charger
performance(+2hp, not very much) - stillen

best of both worlds? - stillen pop charger/ztube loud and high performance!

I think the stillen is a bit nicer, but it costs more. I went with the JWT because I will be going FI soon, and I'll sell it. If I was staying NA, I would have went Stillen.

I say Stillen also, the only reason that I'm not using it, is because I'm going FI also. So I got the K&N.

The main performance will be from the "Z-Tube" Mod...

The cost of the Z-Tube has gone up so the Stillen Z-Tube is a much better option... Plus it is the correct length when on the G unlike the Z-Tube...

As far as the Pop Charger or Stillen Intake...

They both have a similar filter size.
They both have a similar Velocity Stack.
One is Blue, One is Red.
Both can use the same K&N Recharger kit etc.

The main differences...

The JWT uses a heat shield and weather stripping to keep the filter isolated from the rest of the engine room. Once in motion, it works great. Under stop and go conditions, the velocity stack (aluminum) will heat soak.

The Stillen has an enclosed urethane box similar to the factory abs box that keeps the filter isolated from the rest of the engine room. In motion, air is forced to stay around the air filter area like the stock filter. Under stop and go conditions, the velocity stack (aluminum) will heat soak but not as much.

There is a price difference. It may or may not be worth it to some. They both have the potential for the same power gains depending on the amount of heat soak the velocity stack has.

Between the two, if you want an aftermarket intake go JWT. If you care about performance, maybe get a k&n filter and ztube and then leave your stock intake alone. Stillen is just a waste of money.

edit: wow bumped 2007 post >.>
