Reviving plastics

Instead of painting with SEM or Duplicolor. I decided to take an old school method of using a heat gun to bring back the luster of our plastics. Turning out good on my test piece.

Another shot of some plastic revive. I did paint one with duplicolor after using the heat gun to remove some scratches, just to see how it turned out.

Here is the heat gun procedure that I did:
Video of using the heat gun:

The results are pretty damn close. So choose which method you want to use.

Getting ready to mount my speakers in the doors. So, I decided to do a few other things while I am in there.

1. Clean felt on door panel and felt on window tracks.
2. Plastic revive on door panel with heat gun.
2. Install new window motors. Might as well while I am in there.
3. Install new door check stoppers. NO MORE SHIN PAIN!

I'll post some pics later.

I use 303. But protection doesnt bring back a true refreshed surface. Cleaning it and refinishing it does. Then I can use more 303. 10 year old material has a few blemishes

Lucky or just good at taking care of your ride. Mine had faded even when I first bought it. Plus florida sun can be a bitch.

the only fading im experiencing is with the exterior blk parts. but its not serious or anything and armoral cant bring the shine back till the next car wash. I kno the judgements on amoral but I think its all in their past bc ive been using it since I got my license in the 90s and never had issues lol. one day I might switch over to 303 if theres a sale or something lol
