Loose rear license plate...

Is it just me or does the rear license plate seem really loose?

I just got my plates today and the front one goes on nice and tightly but the rear ones are very loose. The screws are in all the way I think... even though it only turned like 3 times. I think I might have to fill the gaps with some washers or something.

The bumper itself around the license plate area seems very flmsy.

Anyone else have this problem?

Does that mean you have to drill holes to put in bottom screws? Mine only has two holes at the top.

Top two screws only, mine does not rattle. Maybe it's designed to have a license plate holder (in other words, the screws are long to enable one of those, that's why they won't tighten)?

Exactly, or as the original poster said the screws only went in 3 turns, that does not sound right, they should go in more than that. Perhaps the screws are cross threaded or he has the wrong pitch screws in there, they are a metric thread.

They were there since I had the car?

Is there a license plate holder that I can get from some store like Autozone or something? I want it nice and tight like the front one.

I just went out and took some pics...

I don't have the frame on but I'm guessing it'd help a bit. It's nice and chromey so I'll give it a try.

Anyone think theres anything wrong with the pics?

nope- just add a frame and it should be fine, mine was the same way.

There are some nice plate frames on Ebay for fairly cheap, $20 a set or something.

Yeah I added the frame and it's nice and firm now.

I wanted to go for the frameless look but I guess it ain't happening...

Mine's like plastic chrome.

The letters on it are chrome too but the background is black.

It goes pretty well with my car since my car is black.

I bought one from a guy here on the forum - it's stainless, and says G35 on it (which works great, since I debadged the G35S from mine )

I have a 2007 sedan, I'm guessing the license plate holder is built into the rear bumper? The top bracket on mine broke (see pic), has anyone figured out a solution for when this happens?
