Need help creaking noise coming from front drivers side..

Hey guys I have been delaying this question for the longest time. My g35x has this creaking noise coming from the front driver's side of the car when I brake at low speed (around 5mph rolling start with no acceleration). When I apply the brake quickly, the wheels stop moving and the car shakes back and forth, this is when I hear the creaking noise. I did some research and people reported that it was the compression rod, but I am not sure how to even check it. I already tried to spray down the all suspension bushings with silicone and wd40 with no luck.... Please help....

It's odd that the dealer can't diagnose your problem, must be to cold outside.
Causes could be:
Wheel Bearing
CV Joint
Ball Joint
Control Arm Bushing
Compression Rod Bushing
Say Bar End Link
The last 3 are pretty easy to see once your under the car, the first 3 should be pretty easy to check just by jacking it up. If you take it to an allignment shop, I bet they come back with a list of what needs to be replaced before they can allign it.

How do I check the wheel bearing, CV joint and ball joint? When I jack up the car, I hear the creaking sound coming from the compression rod area, but I, not 100% sure......

Wheel bearing - Try to tip the top of the wheel towards the car, you are checking for movement between the wheel, hub and rotor to the spindle (axle in the X).
Ball Joint - The same except you will have movement between the the whole wheel assembly and the control arms
CV Joint - Rotate the wheel, if you can try to reach around and grab the axle to see if the two move together. Turn the wheels full lock both directions and rotate listen for clicking sound.
The compression rod bushing that typically fails is behind the rear part of the wheel opening, there is a large nut holding a diagonal strut below the bushing. It's pretty easy to tell if it's bad. This diagram should help, disreagard the highlighted endlink.

Bushings make more noise in the cold of winter than they did last summer. Every neighborhood has a qualified independent brake/alignment shop, those are the guys you want working on your suspension not dealership flunky's. (find yours) From what you describe it's a worn busing making the noise not all the other possibilities listed above....warped rotors?

After two hours of poking around, I found the problem!!!! It turns out it is NOT the compression rod. It is the compression rod bracket that is causing the creaking/clicking noise. Apparently, there is a small bushing (circled in the pic) that is causing this huge headache. I removed the bolt and sprayed some heavy duty silicone spray and tightened up the bolt. No more creaking noises..!!!
