SVC on the Bose

Wondering what the rest of you think about the SVC feature on the Bose. It's supposed to raise the Bose volume at higher speeds and lower the volume when you slow down. The theory being you need it bumped up a little at highway speeds, need it down a little at a red light, and don't want to manually make those volume changes. There are three settings (by way of the AUDIO button): HIGH, MED, LOW but I don't see a big difference among all 3 of them. Am I missing something or is this just a weak implementation of a good idea?

Re: SVC on the Bose

What a coincidence, just Tuesday I figured out what the SVC was for, and so far in two days of driving, I can't tell a discernable difference. Either that, or I'm not listening intently enough.

Re: SVC on the Bose

All I noticed is with the SVC set to anything but OFF I cannot listen to loud music. The highs are non-existent and the lows seem A LOT more muddled. With the SVC set to OFF the sound is better when you crank it up. I guess if I listened to music with the volume under 10 the SVC might come in handy, but when I am driving by myself the music does get turned up a little.

Re: SVC on the Bose

I have to be going 80 and playing with the SCV (It's Speed-sensitive Control Volume) in order to hear a difference. High seems to help some if you're going fast with the windows open, but not much.

Re: SVC on the Bose

I haven't really played with trying to see the differences between low, medium and high, but I definitely do notice it working (i.e I can hear when it changes the volume) but in a good way. Chevrolets all have svc, but in all the ones I have driven it is ANNOYING! It either dosen't make a difference at all or it makes the music jump to a WAY different volume very quickly, so you notice every time it does it. I think the bose svc we have makes the volume shift just enough so its at the appropriate level, but not enough so you notice every time it does it. Just my opinion (Can someone tell me how to do real smileys? Mine make me look so technologically incapable)
