Want to Extend Nismo Exhaust Tips 2 inch, use regular steel or stainless steel?

I have a friend who knows a very good welder but my concern is with making the tips two inches longer if I use regular steel it is going to rust and not look good.... Where can i get a 2 1/4 inch piece of stainless steal to extend these tips, i have been very unsuccessful in looking for any stainless steel piece of exhaust tubing....

Would using regular steel look like crap after a little bit? Im planning on having him cut right before where the tips start and extending them right there....? Or would steal even weld to stainless steel? thanks !!!!

it is 304 stainless steel. weld it with 308 rod (assuming you are tig welding it). it is a bit harder to weld stainless to mild steel, and mild steel will definitely rust, and look like crap.

try

or you can call them at .

they sell many different stainless steel exhaust products.

Can't you just use this for the exhaust?

Is it possible to extend the 6" extension(s) instead of making the tips longer, or would this cause conflicts with how the exhaust is mounted/fitted?
