Anyone Running Falken Azenis PT-722's on a G35 Coupe?

I'm currently running Falken FK452's all around on my '04 G35 Coupe. My rears are completely bald after about 15K miles... I literally have less than 1/2 a mm of tread on them... LOL. I don't even drive my car that hard, and got 28K out of my factory Michilin PilotSports and drove about the same on those as I did on my FK452's. I like the 452's aside from the fact that they wear out so insanely fast.

I'm only putting on a set of rears, but was curious if anyone here has any experience with the Falken Azenis PT-722's on a G35 Coupe?

I realize they're a less grippy/aggressive tire than the FK452's, but I don't track or autocross my car and most of my hard driving is just in a straight line on the highway in the coupe (save the crazy stuff for the streetbike!). I was hoping to get something with better treadwear that still looks nice and is somewhat sporty and this seems to fall into that area without breaking the bank.... but I can't seem to find any reviews of that tire on here or the 350Z sites. I'd be going 245/45/18 and just in the rear to mate up with my 245/40/18 FK452 fronts. I very rarely drive in the rain and don't drive in the snow at all.

I dont trust Falkens. My last set from them completely separated, and almost caused me to crash.

Forget this tire, I had them.

Nitto Motivo is a much better tire.

What exactly didn't you like about them?... and were they on your G?

Specifically, how would you compare them vs the Motivo in terms of positive and negative features?

I was just looking at those Motivos and they seem like a pretty good option too... perhaps better than the Falkens.

The Motivos are better in grip, dry and wet. Though they are a tad bit noisier than the Falkens.

The Falkens were not great under braking, abs was going off a lot even after 800 miles. Many times ABS kicked in unexpectedly. Under Braking they did not feel confident, like ABS was working over time. The Falkens were ok in the wet but could easily break traction. This tire like 30-32psi cold, which helped a bit with traction.

With the Motivos they feel solid under braking, when I first put them on they were performing well. I have taken some corners and such and the motivos pull more G's according to my butt dyno. I run these at 35. There is a noticeable gain in traction in the wet over the Falkens, though you can still break them loose in the wet.

I am pleased with this tire(motivo) so far, I will take them auto-xing in a few months and see how they do.

How many miles do you have on them so far and how are they wearing?

BTW, thanks for the input.

I got a bit over 1k miles on them so too early to tell, but they are designed to last, they still look new.
