rb26 or 2jz

Granting that both swaps would cost the same, would you choose the rb26 or 2jz?

Im in contact with GS Motorsports and Im not too far off in having all the cash up front to do the swap.

Im leaning more towards the 2jz simply because the stock motor can handle so much more. The rb26 is beckoning because it keeps it in the family.

Supra motor is superior and you get .5 liter more of displacement. Both are long and heavy though.

A better inline 6 swap would be the 3.0 BMW 335i TT motor.

I was thinking of the ls2, fitting stuff after the swap is what I was concerned with. Seems like theres more breathing room with either one of my choices.

I've never looked into an RB swap into a g35. The torque range is atrocious.

I was looking at 2JZ but to do the swap I wanted was about 18k with everything I wanted. Single turbo, mild build. 2jzswap.com is a great resource. I was in contact with them. They were very helpful.

Thanks for the site, hmmm didnt think a swap kit existed out there for this swap. It makes it that much more better, looks like I need to have a downpipe made.

I would do an LS swap before anything else. Sikky makes a kit

Here is SnyperZ car in the 10's with a stock bottom end and boost.

i heard that a 2JZ engine will decimate all after you put about 15 grand or more, and, if you have to, overnight parts from japan.

Just curious why do you want to go for the engine swap? What kind of power goal and application do you plan on achieving?
