OEM Z Tube, Stillen Z Tube, Or Carbon Fiber Z Tube?

Hey, I'm new to the forums (just got my 03 coupe 2 weeks ago) and was wondering which is the better way to go as far as the Z tube. Is there a difference between the Stillen Z Tube and OEM Z tube? Stillen is selling these cheaper than OEM ($59.95) Also, Ive found a carbon fiber Z Tube for $115. Of course it looks better, but does it perform as well? I'd pay extra for the CF, but I wouldnt want it to perform less>look better. Does any one know if these soak more heat? Also, is the Stillen tube compatible with the JWT Pop Charger, or just their own intake? I've already got my mind set on the JWT. Thanks.

my vote is for whichever is cheapest.

but if you wanna bling your engine bay, then get the c/f i suppose.

even if they "perform" differently, it's not going to be noticeable.

I have the JWT and stillen Z-tube... the oem and stillen are the same pretty much the stillen is cheaper since its shorter... getting the CF would tight but you need more CF in the engine bay to match it

I have the JWT and if I had to do over, I'd get the Stillen...it looks more like stock. They all perform the same.

Thanks for the feedback. I found an OEM tube for $50. I'll go with that. I do like the carbon fiber, but it'll be pretty lonely under the hood for a while.

what's wrong with a stillen ztube? it's just the same thing as the oem z tube, just curved more to prevent ac line rubbing? and cheaper too?

Just go with the best price! The advantage all of these have over the OEM is that the flow is a bit straighter and there's less restriction as there are no longer the resonators in the flow.

I finally took off my NISMO CAI and went back to the basic set-up for myself.

How about the Z-tube from an 05 revup engine. Is there any difference than the non-revup engine? Will that work with our cars? I have an 03 Coupe.

Stillens Z Tube.........

Unless you intend to carry the CF theme through out the engine compartment purchasing the CF Z-Tube is a waste of $! The Stillen Z-Tube works fine and even better with his cold air intake which contains a large K&N filter. The OEM tube directs the air thru a box thus slowing down the air available to the plenum......but not enough to tell.
