what to apply: faded black leather seats in the G

well everytime im cleaning my G, i notice the fading in the front seats...
i tried to use the Mothers, macguaer over the counter stuff, leather care
but its not doing it for me, its still faded

what do u guys use to get the rich black look again, is there stuff the pros use to get the faded part look like new?

also since were on topic, what do u guys use on the dash, i like the shiny look?

i have yet to clay the car, im sure it would look even better...

My drivers seat is starting to turn white on the side closest to the door. I've wondered if using black shoe polish ( the liquid kind ) is a bad idea. Has anyone done such a thing?

I've been using doc baileys leather black, it dyes and conditions the leather and it works great I highly recommend it.

Yeah you can order it online and no it will not rub off. just rub it on with the applicator and let it dry it will cover up scratches in the leather and restore faded leather.

You will need a black leather dye, just cleaning and conditioning faded leather won't do much to it because the color is already gone.

If you use a solid based shoe polish and let it sit then seal it, it will do a great job.

But as the guy above me said, if you want to do it 100% right get a dye kit and just dye them, they will look new.

i've tried maguires, armor all, both suck.... don't give that wet look and when i sit, my *** doesn't slide like it should. this guy i knew a while back had this conditioner that makes you slide like crazy and gives a nice wet look....

even the dash is sooo dull after 3 different products, maybe its the cheap plastic that nissan uses? My TL's dash shines like crazy but its like vinyl or something

Wow, I'm quite the opposite. I like the interiors to look clean but as "dull" as possible. For me, leather should look near flat black, as well as the dash, yet clean and smooth.

try leatherique. Its a two step process. Use the rejuvenating oil first sit vehicle in the sun for a few hours, then remove the oil with the pristine clean product. Made my seats look brand new.

Shoe polish on your seats? Maybe its just me...but that seems like a bad idea? I shine my shoes all the time, and I know that stuff comes off with wear. I can just see your being black after a few drives? I don't know...maybe there is a trick there I'm missing...but that just doesn't seem like the best option...

lol... perhaps we have different standards... i've never heard of a car owner wanting his seats slippery and wet... for me, maintaining the interior in new condition (matte, clean) is my goal... for dash, 303 protectant has been the perfect product (you can use it on the seats as well, although i dont)... for seats, i use leatherique and i has kept my seats (in various cars) in pristine condition...
