Question Insurance on an 03 G35?

Hey there guys! I'm new to the forums, I've been looking into buying a G35, how much do y'all pay in insurance and maintenance? I'm 19, never had any accidents or tickets and drive a 98 Mustang. The car I'm looking into is a 2003 G35 6spd, looks flawless cosmetically, has the grey exterior paint, 20" wheels, brembo brakes, full greddy exhaust, short throw shifter, stillen intake, double din pioneer head unit, and the black leather interior with the navigation. I love everything about the car, except that it has 190k miles. The guy wants $4500 for it, I'm just not sure about the miles

Let me know what you guys think, thanks!

Welcome to the G35 Driver forums Tommy! Visually the G sounds great, however closing on 200K miles should be a reason to look elsewhere at any price! Keep looking, there are first gen coupes out there with far less miles in mint condition...ya just gotta find it!

Insurance costs are going to vary based on where you live, and other factors.

I agree about the miles though. 190K is way too much. I'd only consider it if it was cheap...like $1-2K cheap

I pay 160 a month with GEICO full coverage but again like Gary said shop around for another G that's way too many miles

your rates might be lower with a sedan depends since you are 19. GEICO has been the best rate for me

Thanks for the replies guys, yeah that seemed like too many miles, not sure how the vq's handle at high mileage like that. The issues I've been having with finding a reasonable G is:
A.) it is a 6spd (what I want) with 180k+
B.) 100k-120k and an automatic

i was trying to sell my current mustang and buy the G in the time I have for Christmas break when I don't have much driving but this is starting to get harder than I thought! Also, my family has been using geico for the past 24 years and it's had the best rates for all our cars so far, so I'll be keeping them.

For starters it's never a good idea to buy a car with that many miles, although from your replies it seems like you won't be picking up that 190k G in particular. I'm 18 and pay 85 a month, although the car is in my name and my mothers, just me it was around 3200 a year, which while I could afford didn't deem it necessary.

Shop around, you never know who could get you the best deal, my family was with farmers quite awhile and we eventually moved to geico and got a significantly better deal, best of luck with the purchase and please don't do anything dumb in the car!

We had geico previously, but then went with a local agency and combined my homeowners and auto policy for a much cheaper rate.

Auto policy ended up being $100 cheaper on me and my wife's plans than gieco
