average lifespan of brakes (non-Brembo)

does anyone know the average lifespan on non-Brembo brakes? i have a 2006 6MT coupe, and the driver's passenger side is making a soft scratching/screeching sound when i apply the brakes. i have 13000 on the odometer. i have recently popped on a 25mm spacer in the rear, but i do not have any rubbing issues.

how long have you had your brakes without changing the brakes?

the dumba$$ service rep told me that brakes on this car last 10k-15k miles. is this BS or what??

Applications per mile and duration of applications and foot pressure on pedal.

Obviously a lot of difference with all interstate vs all city or ratios of combos of each.

Need a totalizer connected to brake lights to just calculate how many hours [minutes and seconds] are used in some mileage interval.

my first non-brembo OEM went out at 30K (pads and rotor), replaced it with PMU B-force and now at 46K, it looks to be 1/2 worn, estimating another 16K left.

The rears are still on the first set.

I have an 05 coupe with 25k miles. At my last service they said I had just under 50% life left on my pads. Hopefully I will get 45k out of them. I think alot of it depends on your driving habits. I mostly do highway miles so there usually isn't to much braking involved.

My non-brembo's needed to be replaced 3 times. I have about 36,000 miles on my car right now. Changing to the OEM Brembo setup soon with aftermarket pads and rotors.

Please tell me I am an aggressive driver.

24k on stock pads and about 55% life left on the pads. I drive a lot of city and aggressive at times.

Wonderfull Nissan brakes.............

Take you car to the dealership and have it checked out.......better safe
than well you know. I have a '04 and my front pads only lasted 10K miles.
Those pads were splintering brake pad crud on my wheels and I knew I
had a problem. Have since switched to Hawk pads and I couldn't be
more pleased with the results!

I've changed my brake pads 3 times in 3 years when I had the non-brembo setup on my 2003 5AT coupe. The 2003 5AT G35's had premature brake wear issues which is why they had a 3 year/36000 mile unlimited brake service. The pads would create so much brake dust I had to upgrade. The new brake pads in the later models aren't much better. That's why I swiched to the Brembo calipers and Hawk pads.

my stock non-brembos lasted 30k in the front, the rears looked like like they could go another 30k.

Are you using hawk pads with OEM rotors?

i have an 04, and i need to make another trip to a dealer for squealing brakes at 25k. when my warranty is over, i'm getting Hawk brake pads also. i had them on my previous car, and they lasted a long time with minimal brake dust.

umm i have 25k miles on my brake pads and it starts to squeel sometimes so i have to change them soon......but i also did abuse my brake pads a lot from having to brake really hard when slow cars come out and just go extra slow in front of you and from peeling out my tires....lol
