Thumbs up

Great job, nice DIY, and great D-Spec extensions. I need to get a few sets of these.

I think these only applies to the 03_04 sedans, or maybe coupes only . I have an 05 sedan with d specs and I don't have these problem . all I have to do is, remove my head rest and remove the Velcro cover and i'm there.

Removed??

I think you mean the two upper mount nuts had to be taken off and the top of the shock exposed for adjustment. If you removed the shock it you did it unecessarily.

This is definitely a time saver and a way to keep your hands clean. Without this it takes about 45-60 minutes to adjust them including removing and reinstalling the tires.

D-Spec stands for damping specific shocks. They have a wide range of adjustment for rebound and compression simultaneously.

Here you go:

What are they?

Quote:
Tokicoís D-Spec Series adjustable shock is a multi-use product thatís the result of sophisticated piston and valving design. In addition, it utilizes a unique variable-aperture bypass, which is controlled by an adjustable slide valve.

D-Spec (damping specific) adjustments change both rebound and compression damping simultaneously. Between maximum soft and hard settings, the D-Spec is infinitely adjustable. Tokico D-Spec shocks and struts kits are sold in matched sets of four. Each set includes a manual explaining the adjustment process as well as covering suspension tuning tips.

Finally got my extensions after having some trouble sourcing them in Canada. Ended up being about half of what it cost to get from the US.

Install took about 2:30 - at least twice what I thought. I had major problems getting mine routed and snagging them out from the rear deck. Took over an hour messing around with that. Probably had to do with the rear deck TSB being performed on mine. There was no insulation in there and a couple of unfastened wide rubber strips laying around and in the way.

Notched my covers too so the adjusters can be easily accessed and turned.

Thanks again for the DIY.

Where'd you find them in Canada? I can't seem to find them.
