Exclamation Caliper paint?

I have tried the cheap (spray) stuff at kragen and it turned out pink....not red. So I went to 500temp spray paint and it turned out decent I guess. Does anyone have any recommendations for when i change and repaint my brakes thats better then this?

(done with high temp spray paint )

thanks.

I used the Duplicolor brush on kit (black) and it turned our good. I have heard the G2 brush on kit is better though. The only problem with G2 is that you have to mix in a hardener and if you don't have the wheels off and the calipers prepped there is a possibility of the paint hardening in the can before you finish. Just a tip.

I actually just painted my calipers with teh G2 paint system. . .took some quick photos. . .i wish i had some practice with brush, but it actually turned out pretty good. I don't think people are going to inspect my caliper job within a 7 inch distance. . .cause than they'll see the uneven spots! but i'm pleased with it. . .plus the 2 part epoxy seems really really durable, very glossy finish. . .a very liquid look to it. . .my next step is to put on some hightemp vinyl decals that say "INFINITI" and than clear coat it with a high temp clear coat. . .oh, and also, i wish i had sanded it down more, to give the paint a better surface to bite on. . .

I'm planning to do this as well ... A collision garage and friend suggested to me a spray can Acrylic Urethane. It also has a mixed in hardener and it was suggested that I get the paint close to when I'm ready and not let it sit unused for long before applying.

I'm going for a burnt orange ... not sure about doing any decals afterword.

Make sure that acrylic urethane can handle the heat or you will literally have burnt orange.

You can get away with brush jobs on stock calipers.....but DO NOT use them on BBKs. Those akebono calipers were ruined when you brushed paint on them.

G2 is a decent paint to use....only if you use an aerosol can and spray it on. It looks more even that way. Anything brushed you will see uneven paint and brush marks which IMO completely ruins the look of a big brake caliper.

I did mine with Duplicolor Enamel based caliper paint.......it's a spray on version. Clean it up very well with brake cleaner, rubbing alcohol, and a lot of sanding.....Jsut a warning though........the duplicolor takes a long time to dry.......with 3-4 coats....it wasn't completely cured after 24 hours.

yellow calipers with green lugs looks good on your car!
allthough your driveway is yellow too from over spray ..

I have bremdo's mayby in a few weeks im planing on just sending them in for powdercoating and just rebuild and replace the seals.
