Do the toe bolts need to be loosened to get the springs out?

This mod doesn't change the front end at all so front camber kits shouldn't be necessary right? So I could install 350Z H-Techs with the springmount mod and SPC rear camber kit, and I should be okay?

^ you should look into front camber arms anyway since lowering the car even a little will increase camber. the front suspension doesn't have camber adjustability so you'll need the arms if you want to get back into spec / limit excessive wear & feathering.

I thought the general consensus was that 350z H-Tech without springmount mod doesn't need any camber kits front or back. If I needed both it would totally suck because then I could've just gone with Eibach springs that drop it a lil more.

With 350z h-techs and a springmount mod, a rear camber kit is necessary IMO, and a front would be recommended if you want perfect tire wear. I currently only have a rear camber kit and the front tires are showing some signs of camber wear/toe feathering, but I got decent mileage out of my tires still and with a tire flip, they should last as long as the rears

It's amazing, you post how to correctly cut the spring mounts and the first
thing our members ask is "are you selling those mounts?" I'm supprised
someone didn't ask you to cut the mounts for them. Thanks for posting this
information.......

oh I've gotten multiple PM's about it over the last few months since I posted it. IMO its pretty simple to do, not sure why anyone would bother getting someone else to do it

I'll be doing this tomorrow. I've had the H-techs on for about 7 months now so they're obviously settled. How much do you guys recommend cutting off? 1/2 inch? 3/4? Thanks.

i cut 1/2" off mine. i think that is enough for an even drop.

I'm installing the Eibach rear camber arms, toe bolts, and cutting the springmounts this weekend. Do I have to wait for it to settle or can I get an alignment right away?

I would wait ~500miles before getting an alignment if possible. Its also a good idea to mark roughly the orientation of the toe bolts so when you install the new ones you can orientate them similarly for less wear while the suspension is settling
