Cutting takes no more than 10 mins per side, and 10-15mins per side for removal

Can you do this with the oem springs or do I need to get aftermarket springs?

You can do it with the oems, but you will probable end up having an uneven drop with the front.

I just installed the 350Z Tein H Techs and I have about .5 inch gap in the front and more than 1.5 inch gap in the rear, almost as if it did not drop the car at all in the rear. What is the max I can cut the spring mount so that I can get that even drop to .5 inch gap in the rear, I noticed that the little that was cut on those pics posted will probably not lower my car as much as I need.

i would say you can cut as far down as the little indentions go, ~1". Just measure and cut, but make sure the rear is completely settled, seems like your is pretty high still

^^^looks great, glad it worked out for you, now get an SPC(eibach) rear camber kit because you WILL need it
