Hey, I was trying to remove the grill so I could paint it, but i'm having a really hard time removing it. I have read the posts on how to remove it over and over, but I still can't manage to release the 4 clips on the bottom and the 2 clips on the top right/left corners. I'm afraid to pull too hard on the bottom clips because it feels like its going to snap. Can anybody give any more in-depth information on how I should get to these clips and the proper way to remove them. Thanks.

The top corner clips were a biotch for me too.

First I loosened the bottom for clips by lightly tugging on the girl and pushing the 4 clips out with my thumb.. After I loosened all 4 clips. I stuck my head in all the way inside to where I can see the top corner clips.. I just aligned it so they would come out perfectly then pulled the grill out and pushed the clip away till it popped out.

Use a flat head screw driver to help.

Same process, just buy glossy black paint instead of flat black.

IMO black grille looks dumb on ivory pearl... Try to get the pearl white in a spray and paint your grill ivory pearl

Anyone done this on a laser red coupe? I'd like to see pics of that. I don't like the flashy stock grill on my red car but I don't like any of the aftermarket grills ive seen either

For you guys that have done this, it looks like you painted around the outside of the emblem black which imo looks better. But did you paint the inside of the emblem?
